Sony have knocked around a tenner off the price of a PlayStation 2 by announcing a new £94.99 price point for the machine, alongside plans to turn their six-year-old console pink later this year when a £129.99 limited edition version will be launched.
The Pink PlayStation 2 will come bundled with two Pink DualShock 2 controllers, a Pink memory card and a copy of SingStar Pop, and according to Sony’s European Brand Manager Dan Hill it’s “funky, fresh, and fashionable, and will further broaden the console’s continuing popularity and relevance with a fun new twist”.
